“[I] doesn’t exist” is a modern, but normal text adventure – until the avatar refuses to follow commands. What seemed like a one-sided relationship, develops into a conversation between avatar and player. Through realising and accepting the avatar as an extension of yourself instead of only a slave to your wishes, you can help each other move on.
